This policy explains what personal data SkillSphere collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. By using our website and services, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect information you provide directly when you contact us, request a shortlist, or correspond with our team. We also collect limited technical data automatically when you browse our website.
We process your data to deliver and improve our recruitment services. Specifically, we use it to:
We rely on legitimate interest to provide our services, on your consent where required (for example marketing emails), and on legal obligation where the law requires us to retain certain records.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with vetted recruitment partners involved in fulfilling your request, and with service providers who help us operate, under strict confidentiality agreements.
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law. Hiring records are typically retained for the duration of our relationship plus a statutory period thereafter.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@skillsphere.uk.
We use a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and your consent choice remembered — these are always on. Analytics cookies are optional.
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-CQ84JFMTEV), provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use our site. Analytics cookies stay switched off until you accept them via our cookie banner — we apply Google Consent Mode so no analytics cookies are set beforehand. Where analytics runs, it relies on your consent as the legal basis; you can withdraw it at any time and it will not affect our services.
You can change your mind whenever you like:
SkillSphere serves employers in the UK and the EU and job seekers in India, so personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own — including the UK, the European Economic Area, India and, in the case of Google Analytics, the United States.
Wherever data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where one applies. Depending on where you are, your data is protected under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and/or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
